Already a showcase manufacturing activity within its sector, this Company has a proven reputation for the quality of its product and the advanced nature of its manufacturing systems which include a high degree of automation, customer bespoke items, flexibility and innovation. Set against a planned expansion of activity and market growth this Maintenance Engineering Manager role will take responsibility for the management of maintenance and general engineering activities in support of a three shift manufacturing activity.
As Maintenance Engineering Manager you will be reporting to the Manufacturing Director, responsibility will cover the leadership of a craft trades team including multiple disciplines and ensuring the maximum availability of manufacturing facilities. These activities include a high degree of robotic assembly together with associated PLC control and precision handling hardware. As the operation grows there is the increasing requirement to fully introduce the appropriate TPM and OEE principles to avoid reactive inefficient activity and to formalise a planned maintenance activity which integrates seamlessly with manufacturing operations.
Ideal candidates for the Maintenance Engineering Manager role will be qualified engineers with significant equipment maintenance experience within the manufacturing sector, coupled with management experience and ability in similar environments. Specific experience within change and growth situations will be expected together with working examples of the implementation of modern maintenance principles and a continuous improvement, positive attitude.
Whilst based at the Company’s main manufacturing site and headquarters, responsibilities for this role may carry advisory responsibility for other sister sites within the UK which are employing similar manufacturing technologies.
