University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to appoint an HR Affairs
Administrator. The Administrator will manage the appointment and
renewal process for researchers, including research faculty and research
staff. In addition, they will coordinate and provide administrative
support to the Office of Faculty HR Affairs and the Research Institute
for a range of human resource functions. Moreover, they will create
reports in response to customer inquiries, and prepare various letters,
i.e. appointment offers, renewals, amendments, promotions, etc.
Key responsibilities:
Administer the NYUAD appointment policies and procedures to support the above-mentioned processes
Assist in initiation of the security clearance process to completion of changes to researcher offer letter templates
Record data
related to hiring and HR functions in the Faculty Database, Academic
Appointments, Candidate Tracking Sheet and Workday
Develop relationships and work with colleagues across the entire HR Division, Provost Finance, Divisions, etc.
Assist in
facilitating approval of appointments and status changes for research
faculty, research staff and sponsored research personnel in accordance
with NYUAD and NYU policies
Help facilitate
the initial on-boarding steps that take place for all new researcher
hires such as directing them to the right people for their questions and
setting up university ID numbers
Work on collecting, updating and tracking data sets owned by the Faculty HR Affairs office and Research Institute on researchers
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education and/or Human Resources
Minimum 3 years' experience in comparable position
Excellent writing and editing skills
Fluency with Excel and Access software programs
Highly detail oriented
Accuracy in writing and proofreading
Work well in a team environment,Ability to quickly learn other HRIS and databases.
